HGUC #241 Zaku II

From the original Mobile Suit Gundam, the Principality of Zeon’s iconic MS-06F Zaku II returns to the High Grade Universal Century line as HGUC #241. Released in 2021, this is a completely renewed interpretation of the standard mass-production Zaku II rather than the much older HGUC #40 tooling, combining anime-inspired proportions with the substantially improved articulation developed for Bandai’s 2020 Char’s Zaku II.

A distinctive feature of this version is the choice of two different waist-armour constructions. Builders can use conventional rigid PS plastic skirt parts for a crisp mechanical appearance or the included soft-material skirt for freer leg movement and a more animation-like silhouette in deep poses. The arms rotate at both the upper arm and forearm, the shoulder joints provide useful forward movement, and the mono-eye can be repositioned using the control tab at the rear of the head. Parts for both the standard head and a commander-fin configuration are included.

The familiar Zaku loadout is complete with a Zaku Machine Gun, Zaku Bazooka and Heat Hawk. Weapon-mounting points allow the equipment to be carried on the waist when not in use, while the backpack is specifically moulded to reproduce the standard F-type Zaku II configuration rather than Char’s higher-output custom unit. The result is a versatile modern HGUC rendition of Zeon’s defining mass-production mobile suit.
