From Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Amuro Ray’s MSK-008 Dijeh joins the High Grade Universal Century line as HGUC #219. Developed by the Earth-based resistance organisation Karaba from the Rick Dias, the Dijeh is a ground-combat mobile suit whose asymmetrical, Zeon-influenced exterior disguises technology descended from the A.E.U.G.’s advanced mobile-suit programme. It became Amuro’s principal machine during his return to active combat in the Gryps Conflict.
This 2018 HGUC release is an entirely new tooling designed to preserve the Dijeh’s bulky silhouette without sacrificing articulation. Pull-out shoulder joints swing forward and lift high, the divided front-skirt armour moves out of the thighs’ path, and the waist incorporates movement despite the large central armour block. Soft power cables around the neck and rear legs flex with the joints, while the large rear binders and distinctive heat fins remain separately movable.
The complete standard weapon set is included: a Beam Rifle of the same type used by the Hyaku-Shiki, a Clay Bazooka derived from the Rick Dias loadout and the double-ended Beam Naginata. The Naginata grip stores at the waist, while the rifle and bazooka can mount to the rear binders; the Clay Bazooka can alternatively be carried on the left-shoulder weapon rack. Bandai also includes a bonus sensor part with Gundam-style twin-eye moulding, reflecting the unusual internal eye arrangement of Amuro’s machine.
