HGUC #159 Gerbera Tetra

From Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Cima Garahau’s AGX-04 Gerbera Tetra joins the High Grade Universal Century line as HGUC #159. Behind its rounded, Zeon-influenced exterior lies an unusual origin: the machine was derived from the cancelled RX-78GP04G Gundam “Gerbera”, the planned fourth mobile suit of the Gundam Development Project. Its appearance was extensively altered before the completed high-mobility assault unit was transferred to Cima and the Delaz Fleet.

The HGUC kit focuses on the Gerbera Tetra’s thruster-heavy space-combat design, reproducing the prominent verniers around the shoulders, legs and rear equipment in fine detail. The shoulder thruster pods can move independently for more expressive poses, while the rear unit is interchangeable: build the machine with its compact standard backpack or fit the long Sturm Booster with its twin propellant tanks for the high-speed assault configuration seen in the series.

Armament includes the Gerbera Tetra’s distinctive Beam Machine Gun and a pair of Beam Sabers, supported by several interchangeable hand parts for natural weapon-holding poses. The 2013 HGUC engineering provides a useful range of articulation despite the machine’s bulky shoulders and heavily thrustered silhouette, making this a particularly distinctive addition to a Gundam 0083 or Gundam Development Project collection.
