HGUC #145 Hambrabi

From Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, the RX-139 Hambrabi joins the High Grade Universal Century line as HGUC #145. Fielded by the Titans during the Gryps Conflict and most closely associated with ace pilot Yazan Gable and his wingmen, the Hambrabi is a prototype transformable mobile suit whose bizarre silhouette, five mono-eye sensors and aggressive close-combat equipment make it one of the most distinctive machines of the Zeta era.

The HGUC kit fully recreates the Hambrabi’s transformation into its manta-like Mobile Armor mode. Rather than relying on a complex transformation frame, the design changes form mainly by folding the arms forward, reversing the legs, repositioning the feet and extending the long articulated tail. The forearm claws remain deployable in either configuration, while the tail itself can be posed as the machine’s characteristic Tail Lance. A dedicated adapter is included for mounting the transformed model on a separately sold Action Base.

The weapon set is particularly complete for this unusual mobile suit. The long Fedayeen Rifle is included for ranged combat and can also accept a beam effect at its muzzle for close-combat display. The Hambrabi’s signature wired Sea Serpent uses the supplied lead wire to recreate its launched state, while two Beam Sabers and five interchangeable hands provide additional posing options. Together with the movable claws, transforming limbs and striking blue colour separation, the kit gives builders a versatile representation of Yazan’s famous Titans machine.
