HGUC #218 Gundam Narrative A-Packs

From Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative, Jona Basta’s RX-9/A Narrative Gundam A-Packs joins the High Grade Universal Century line as HGUC #218. The Narrative Gundam is an experimental mobile suit deployed as reinforcement for the Federation’s Operation Phoenix Hunt, and its enormous A-Packs equipment turns the lightly armoured test machine into a high-mobility pursuit configuration specifically intended to capture the runaway Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex.

The scale of the A-Packs is the defining feature of this release. The Narrative Gundam mounts into a huge booster assembly with large propellant tanks, leg units and twin articulated Psycho-Capture systems. These capture arms can swing forward and open into claw-like configurations, with alternate joint parts allowing the field-generating arrangement to be reproduced. Six five-tube missile pods are built into the equipment, with removable covers revealing moulded missile detail, while the lower booster sections also incorporate deployment movement. A dedicated display base and two auxiliary support stands are included to stabilise the oversized equipment.

The underlying Narrative Gundam can also be displayed separately after removing the A-Packs. Its intentionally incomplete-looking design exposes frame structure around the forearms and thighs, while movable chest/shoulder sections and swinging hip joints provide useful articulation. The base suit includes two standard Beam Sabers; the A-Packs add a waist-mounted High Mega Cannon and two enormous beam-saber units, represented with large clear beam effect parts for dramatic close-combat poses.
