HGUC #012 Hi-Zack

From Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, the RMS-106 Hi-Zack joins the High Grade Universal Century line as HGUC #012. Used extensively by the Titans during the Gryps Conflict, the Hi-Zack combines the unmistakable silhouette of Zeon’s Zaku lineage with Earth Federation technology, making it one of the defining mass-production mobile suits of the early Zeta Gundam era.

Originally released in 2000, this 1/144 kit reflects the straightforward engineering of the early HGUC series while capturing the Hi-Zack’s distinctive mechanical character. Its backpack, leg thrusters and exposed power-pipe layout are recreated in detail, with soft resin used for the power pipes to give them a different texture from the surrounding armour. The mono-eye visor is moulded as a separate part, while the mono-eye itself is represented by a sticker that can be positioned to suit the desired expression.

The kit is armed with the Hi-Zack’s characteristic 120mm Zaku Machine Gun Kai and an optional arm-mounted shield. Colour-separated parts reproduce the Titans’ familiar green colour scheme, making this a compact, classic HGUC build for collectors of Zeta Gundam and Universal Century mass-production mobile suits.
